Date: 10/10/2017

"Real World Evidence (RWE) can help with the dissemination of key information by bridging knowledge gaps and by improving the quantity and quality of evidence used both in planning and in guidelines" described the authors of a recent ' Lancet Psychiatry ' article (October 2017).

Thrive London is a city-wide initiative for mental health which was launched in July this year and supported by the Mayor of London.  The initiative aims to build a roadmap of risk to improve mental health across the city.

The article explains how they are using real world data (RWD) for mapping mental health priorities in London and illustrates the need to use routinely available data when collecting evidence over such a large scale.
